Sara Ali Khan who is all set to appear on Karan Johar’s chat show, Koffee With Karan along with her father Saif Ali Khan revealed that she would like to date Kartik Aaryan. Now, that might have made a few people raise their eyebrows but apparently, there is more to it than meets the eye. Apparently, Sara and Kartik have been locked as the main leads of Imtiaz Ali’s next romantic film which he wants to begin shooting from February 2019.
Imtiaz feels that the story is the closest thing to his hit film Love Aaj Kal that starred Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead and wants it to be a sequel to the film. However, things are not that easy it seems. Imtiaz had proposed his co-producers Reliance Entertainment to make the Sara’s and Kartik’s film into a sequel but there are several production nitty-gritty’s involved. Love Aaj Kal was a co-production between erstwhile Illuminati Films and Eros International.

Illuminati Films was a collaboration of Saif and Dinesh Vijan who since then have gone their separate ways and have gone to establish separate production banners-Black Knight Films and Maddock Films respectively. An entertainment portal reported that Reliance Entertainment and Imtiaz’s banner Window Seat Films are also in the picture making it difficult for all the producers to freeze on a single idea.

Looks like, Imtiaz has a herculean task on his hands if he wants the film to be made into a sequel because all the producers will have to come together to join hands and make the film. The difficulties will have to be ironed out as soon as possible because as reported by the entertainment portal Imtiaz wants to start the film next year with the schedule to be held in east India.
