Kedarnath song Namo Namo: Sushant wins hearts as a happy pithoo on the pilgrimage site

The first song from the Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan starrer Kedarnath has been unveiled today on the auspicious occasion of Dhanteras. The song titled Namo Namo is a soul-soothing as well soul-searching ode dedicated to Lord Shiva and the pious Kedarnath shrine which is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. The song is sung and composed by Amit Trivedi and the lyrics have been penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya.

The video shows Sushant, playing a Muslim pithoo and chronicles his life with the tourists and devotees who come to visit the temple. Sushant goes about doing his job with a smile on his face even though he gets some harsh words from the devotees who seem a little perturbed by his religion as well as by his mother who rebukes him for spending all his money on the devotees.

By the end of the Namo Namo song, we see that Sushant has won over the old lady he was carrying on his back and he is taking a selfie with her and her family where she has lovingly placed her hand on his cheeks. The song’s video concludes with a shot of Sara who is playing a Hindu girl Mukku.

The song Namo Namo has breathtaking visuals of the Kedarnath temple, the beautiful valley and the Mandakini river gushing around the temple. The song feels like an aarti but the lyrics touch one’s heart as it questions the karma and the actions of people. Kedarnath is directed by Abhishek Kapoor and produced by Ronnie Screwvala. It releases on December 7.
