The trailer of the much-awaited Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 was released today and my, oh, my, it surely was worth the wait. The trailer has left us spellbound and in awe. Rarely do we get to see an Indian film using such heavy amount of VFX and special effects.
Moreover, a science fiction film in itself is a rarity as most of our films are romantic song-and-dance dramas but 2.0 stands in a class of its own. Here are the best parts of the trailer that we have pinpointed for you, have a look at the film stills:
The machine bird
Akshay’s ally and Rajinikanth’s cynosure, this bird has been unleashed to create havoc and it rightfully does it. Right from snatching people in its claws to demolishing buildings with its wings, the bird that resembles a falcon is an integral part of the trailer.
Akshay’s character
Akshay marks his Tamil debut with this film and what a film he has chosen. The actor looks unrecognizable in his 2.0 avatar. His look is pure evil at the same time totally futuristic.
Chitty reloaded
Oh, and how can we miss taking Rajinikanth’s name as the best part of the trailer? Thalaivar is in full form and even though is facing a genius nemesis still manages to crack jokes.
Special Effects and the battle
The trailer promises an epic battle between Akshay and Rajinikanth and the special effects shown in the trailer promises it to be a well-matched contest.
