Shibani Dandekar has addressed rumours of her alleged relationship with Farhan Akhtar but refused to reveal details as such, saying that she isn’t interested in discussing her personal life with the press. Rumours of Shibani’s and Farhan’s alleged relationship surfaced after the television presenter posted a picture of herself from a foreign location in September, walking hand-in-hand with a mystery man – the internet didn’t even take minutes to identify the person in question as Farhan.
Speaking to a leading daily about the incessant rumours, Shibani said that she isn’t a secretive person but at the same time, isn’t quite cool about making an announcement about whom she’s dating.

“I am not secretive, but I don't feel the need to say things out loud. I don't need to make an announcement about who I'm dating. It's up to me to decide when and what I want to share about my personal life, and it is up to the audience to decide how they look at it. How much information I want to put out in the public domain is my prerogative,” Shibani told the daily.
In July, in fact, Farhan had also shared a picture with his friends, which also featured Shibani. During her conversation, Shibani also said that her personal life will be dissected and bisected considering the fact that she is a celebrity but yet, she will remain unfazed about public opinions.

"We are public figures, so people are entitled to say what they want to. But I don't care about their opinion. I'm aware of who I am and I'm comfortable with who I choose to date,” Shibani added.
Shibani and Farhan met on the sets of the television show I Can Do That, which was hosted by the actor.
Farhan, who was married to Adhuna Bhabani, divorced her in 2017. With Adhuna, Farhan has two daughters - Shakya and Akira.
Workwise, Farhan is currently filming Shonali Bose's The Sky Is Pink, co-starring Priyanka Chopra and Zaira Wasim.
