Anirban Blah, after being accused of sexual harassment, reportedly relocates to Bangalore; undergoes therapy

After being accused of sexual harassment by four anonymous women, Anirban Blah, who co-founded celebrity management company KWAN Entertainment, has relocated to Bangalore with his family, a leading daily reports. KWAN Entertainment asked Anirban to step aside from his duties and responsibilities immediately after allegations against him surfaced.

“Post the shocking revelations, the family thought it is best to move out of Mumbai. Anirban will not be returning back for a while,” a source was quoted as saying by the daily.

Sources also told the daily that Anirban has been in depression ever since and spends most of his time at home apart from undergoing therapy every day. Last week, in fact, Anirban reportedly attempted to commit suicide in Mumbai but was saved at the last minute, police officials said.

In the meantime, Vijay Subramanian, CEO of KWAN Entertainment, said in a statement on Thursday that his company doesn’t sympathise with Anirban at all and that his exit from the organization is final. “We at KWAN wish to emphatically state that Anirban Das Blah’s exit from the company is final and conclusive. We have no sympathy for him. We see this as an opportunity to immunize ourselves from this kind of toxicity in the future. KWAN has never been about one individual, it has always been and will continue to be about the collective,” Vijay Subramanian said.

Allegations against Anirban surfaced in the wake of the #MeToo movement that has encompassed the nation since the last month. While speaking to a leading daily, the women accused Anirban of inappropriate behaviour – one of them said that he allegedly asked her if she “would be willing to be part of an unnatural sex set-up,” after one of her successful films, as mentioned in the report.
