Vicky Sidana not a part of Iulia Vantur’s debut film ‘Radha Kyun Gori Main Kyun Kaala’ due to #MeToo allegations

The makers of Salman Khan’s rumoured girlfriend Iulia Vantur’s debut film Radha Kyun Gori Main Kyun Kaala have suspended their association with casting director Vicky Sidana, who has been accused of sexual misconduct by actress Kritika Sharma. The makers of the film issued a statement today that they have dissociated with Vicky until thorough investigations are done in the case. The production house also took a stand and lends their support to the #MeToo movement and said that they won’t work with any sexual offenders.

Kritika had accused Sidana of trying to rape her in 2013. Reportedly, she has filed an official complaint with the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of Maharashtra. Radha Kyun Gori Main Kyun Kaala is being helmed by Prem R Soni and reportedly Salman is going to make a cameo appearance in the film as well.

The #MeToo movement started in India after Tanushree Dutta accused Nana Patekar of sexually harassing her in 2008 on the film sets of Horn OK Pleasss. Taking her cue, many women opened up about the sexual harassment and misconduct they faced in Bollywood and several big names were added to the perpetrators’ list.

Sajid Khan, Vikas Bahl, Rajat Kapoor, Alok Nath, Mukesh Chhabra, Anu Malik, Kailash Kher have been named as sexual offenders and appropriate action have been taken by the production houses and several Bollywood official bodies against them while some have been pulled into court cases as well.
