Ajay Devgn, Malaika Arora, Bipasha Basu and Aditi Rao Hydari extend support to the #MeToo movement

The #MeToo movement in India has taken the shape of a tsunami as it is poised to engulf several noted names from Bollywood as well as the media industry. Tanushree Dutta started the movement when she accused Nana Patekar of sexual harassment and intimidation on the set of the 2008 film Horn Ok Pleasss and her stance has provided the strength to many women to come forward and name their perpetrators. Alok Nath, Nana Patekar, Rajat Kapoor, Vikas Bahl, Subhash Ghai, Sajid Khan have all been named by various women for sexual harassment.

The storm is such that several Bollywood celebrities are now joining the fray and supporting the movement. Today, Ajay Devgn, Malaika Arora, Bipasha Basu and Aditi Rao Hydari showed their solidarity with the survivors and to the movement on Twitter. Ajay, even went on to say that his company Ajay Devgn Films will not stand alongside any perpetrators.

Bipasha also spoke about the #MeToo movement and credited Tanushree for bringing this movement. However, one Twitter user urged her to come out with her #MeToo moment regarding Sajid as she denied promoting her film Humshakals which was directed by Sajid.

However, Bipasha clarified that she did not undergo any harassment issues but was just bothered by his sexist attitude, lewd jokes and general rudeness towards girls.

Aditi called out on the hypocrisy related to the movement.
