After Aamir Khan's exit from Mogul, Ekta Kapoor sacks Subhash Kapoor from web series The Verdict

Aamir Khan along with wife Kiran Rao recently issued a joint statement to announce his exit as the co-producer of Gulshan Kumar biopic Mogul after its director Subhash Kapoor was accused of sexual harassment by actor Geetika Tyagi. Moreover, T-Series boss Bhushan Kumar, as well, dropped the director from his ambitious project. And now we hear that TV czarina Ekta Kapoor has sacked Subhash as the show runner of her upcoming web show, The Verdict – State Vs Nanavati.

A leading daily quoted a source as saying, "After Ekta came on board as one of the core committee members of the Producers' Guild that aims to address the issue of sexual harassment at workplace, it was brought to her notice that Subhash has an ongoing case against him. Ekta immediately decided to remove him from the show." Apparently, director Shashwat Shah will take care of the production in light of the recent development until a new showrunner is brought on board.

Well, if the decision is indeed true, it certainly is a bold move on Ekta's part as Subhash was integral to her web show. "She has decided to support the survivor. Till the criminal proceedings on Subhash continue, Balaji won't work with him," the source further added.

For the unversed, Geetika accused Subhash of molestation in 2014 and had also filed an FIR against him stating that he attempted to rape her in 2012.
