From Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan to Priyanka Chopra and Anushka Sharma, many leading Bollywood stars have successfully launched their production houses and backed films under their banner. Now amidst rumours of Deepika Padukone foraying into production with her next, we hear that Namaste England co-stars Arjun Kapoor Parineeti Chopra are all set to join the bandwagon as well but with their respective production banners.
As per a report in a leading daily, the two actors have started the groundwork already. Moreover, it is learnt that Arjun's production house has been registered under the title, Dreamcatcher Films. While he has found inspiration from his father Boney Kapoor, who is a successful Bollywood filmmmaker, Parineeti is said to be inspired by her cousin Priyanka, who has bankrolled several regional films under her banner Purple Pebble Pictures.
The daily quoted a trade source as saying, "Arjun's banner is separate from his father's production company. The movies produced by Dreamcatcher Films will be a reflection of Arjun's cinematic sensibilities. He is a savvy guy who has his pulse on the market. Though he had turned co-producer with Ki & Ka (2016), he had announced his association only after the film became a success. His production house is still taking shape though the young actor is involved, every step of the way."
Parineeti, on the other hand, has an eclectic mix of films like Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, Kesari and Jabariya Jodi, in the pipeline. It is touted that she will take up production with the next film she signs and has found a business partner in mother Madhu Chopra. "Her parents and one of her brothers, Sahaj, may oversee the functioning of the banner. Both, Arjun and Parineeti, will make an announcement when everything is finalised," the source added.
Meanwhile, we will have to wait for an official confirmation from Arjun and Parineeti.
