This was ten years back, I was a kid back then: Shakti Kapoor on Tanushree-Nana controversy

The Tanushree Dutta-Nana Patekar controversy has jolted Bollywood out of its reverie. Ever since the actress accused Nana of sexual harassment on the sets of Horn Ok Pleasss in 2008, the two have taken over all the news channels and dailies. While there have been many who came in support of the actress, there have been some who have alleged that this is all a publicity stunt on the part of the actress.

In an interaction with a news agency, veteran actor Shakti Kapoor was asked to share his views on the entire incident. Surprisingly, Kapoor laughed the grave matter off saying that the incident happened 10-years-ago and he was “a kid back then”.

He told the news agency, “I have just returned from the US yesterday, I had been there for Ganpati Bappa's pooja. I don't know anything about this case.” He was briefly informed about the case, then the actor said, “This was ten years back,  I was a kid back then.”

Nana has denied Tanushree’s claims and said that he will be sending a legal notice to the actress seeking an apology for her allegations which he termed them as false. He also said that he will be holding a press conference soon. On the other hand, Tanushree called MNS a party with ideology like Al-Qaeda or ISIS and was once again threatened by the party workers.
