Deepika corrects newspaper headline referring to sister Anisha as 'The Other Padukone'

The Padukone sisters – Deepika and Anisha – have carved a niche for themselves in their respective professional careers. While Deepika has entertained fans with her brilliant show on celluloid, Anisha is a renowned golfer. So, in no manner can Anisha be referred to as ‘The Other Padukone’ as mentioned by Deepika. Folks, please note this for future reference.

The entire feature-interview was about Anisha and only briefly mentioned that she was "the daughter of badminton veteran Prakash Padukone and younger sister of Bollywood star Deepika Padukone. The headline, however, stated otherwise - "other-ing" her, very literally, as a comparison to her sister!

On Instagram, Deepika posted a picture of newspaper article bearing an interview of Anisha with the headline – ‘The other Padukone’, but that isn’t the case, you see. “not the ‘other’ Padukone...’The’ Padukone! I’m soo proud of you my little baby girl... @anishapadukone,” Deepika wrote in her post that has gone viral by now.

The 32-year-old actress’ Instagram post has garnered over 6 lakh likes while the comments section on the thread is overflowing with praises in favour of her. “Well said,” said one user while another comment read, “Indeed !! you gurls are forever my inspiration. Love.”
