Ganpati Visarjan at the RK Studio was a grand affair in Mumbai on September 23 as legendary filmmaker Raj Kapoor’s sons Rishi Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor and Rajiv Kapoor joined the festivities at the RK Studio in Mumbai on September 23.
Raj Kapoor’s grandson Ranbir Kapoor also participated in the celebration as he broke a coconut amid the festivities and also waved to the paparazzi as his fans gathered in large crowds to catch a glimpse of him and the celebration.

This is the last time the Kapoors are celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi at the RK Studio as it has been put on sale. In August, Rishi Kapoor confirmed that RK Studio had been put up on sale after his family realised that the plan of renovating it from its deteriorating condition is futile. Ganesh Visarjan, thus, is an emotional moment for the Kapoor family.
The Chembur society, in the meantime, also made the celebration memorable with their tribute to Raj Kapoor and veteran actress Nargis Dutt.
