Filmmaker Anurag Basu’s Life in a... Metro 2 has been making headlines for a while regarding its cast and if a report in a leading daily is anything to go by, the latest update has been provided about the fact that Parineeti Chopra has agreed to star in the sequel to the film. According to the report, Parineeti will star opposite Rajkummar Rao in the film.
Sources told the daily that the 29-year-old actress was interested in working with Anurag and instantly signed the film after the script was narrated to her. The filmmaker, as well, has watched Parineeti’s films and is equally excited about collaborating with her in Life in a...Metro 2.

“Parineeti always wanted to work with Anurag as she loves his films and his vision to make something extraordinarily different. She liked the script and instantly gave her nod,” the source was quoted as saying by the daily.
The report also states that pre-production has begun and Anurag is planning to begin filming soon. Several quarters have been reporting that actors Abhishek Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Saif Ali Khan and Ileana D’Cruz also might appear in the film. However, no official confirmation has been provided by either actors or the filmmaker.
After multiple speculations surrounding the cast, Anurag had tweeted in August that the actors haven't been finalized and will be announced in due time.
