Akshay Kumar is all set to collaborate with superstar Rajinikanth in S Shankar's 2.0. With an immense buzz around the film already, the makers have now added to the excitement by releasing new posters and disclosing the film's teaser release date as September 13. And guess what, it will be Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, which will be presenting the film to the Hindi audience.

Karan Johar announced his new collaboration on Twitter and wrote that he is "exceptionally proud and honoured" to have acquired the Hindi rights of the film.

Isn't this some fabulous news? Well, earlier too, Karan had presented SS Rajamouli's Baahubali films to the Hindi audience.

The same was also confirmed by Akshay, who unveiled another poster of the film mentioning the teaser date as September, the first day of Ganesh Chaturthi.

2.0, touted to be India's costliest film, is a sequel to Robot (Enthiran in Tamil), released in 2010. It will feature Rajinikanth reprising his popular character of Dr. Vaseegaran and Chitti while Akshay will be seen in the role of the antagonist named Richard. 2.0 also stars Singh is Bling actress Amy Jackson as the leading lady. Going by the look of the film, the official making-of videos and the BTS pics, director Shankar's film appears to be about radiation caused due to mobile phone usage and its side effects.

In fact, the film was in the news for a long time as several conjectures were being made about the film's release date. Apparently, the film faced delay-after-delay due to the non-delivery of the VFX. But it was recently announced that the film will eventually hit the silver screens on November 29 this year. However, the film will clash with Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan’s Kedarnath, which releases a day after on November 30.
