Manmarziyaan song Chonch Ladhiyaan: Witness Abhishek's and Taapsee's budding romance

Abhishek Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal starrer Manmarziyaan’s new song Chonch Ladhiyaan has been released. After songs like F for Fyaar, DaryaaGrey Wala Shade and DhayaanChand, Chonch Ladhiyaan is a soulful romantic number picturized on Abhishek and Taapsee. The song is composed by Amit Trivedi and crooned by Harshdeep Kaur and ghazal singer Jazim Sharma. The lyrics are penned by Shellee.

Anurag Kashyap's films are not only characterized by new-age storytelling but also stand apart for their distinct music and Chonch Ladhiyaan is just an addition to the list. The Punjabi melody with a folk touch focuses on Robbie's (Abhishek) and Rumi's (Taapsee) budding romance after their marriage.

The video starts with what looks like their honeymoon trip and how the two develop a bond overtime after being distant in the start. From shyly looking at each other to getting comfortable in each other’s company, the song beautifully depicts the chemistry of a new found love. On the other hand, Vicky’s character is seen consoling himself by looking at his photograph with Rumi from their happier times.

To say the least, all three of them do full justice to the lyrics and Abhishek and Taapsee look adorable in this beautiful number.

For the uninitiated, Manmarziyaan is based on the mushkil matters of the heart in what can be safely referred to as a complicated love story – Vicky loves Taapsee’s Rumi but is afraid of marriage while her family begins the drama surrounding it at home. Enter, Robbie, played by Abhishek. To make things worse for Rumi, she is married off to Robbie – and of course, trouble ensues further.

Produced by Phantom Films and Aanand L. Rai's Colour Yellow Productions, the romantic drama is scheduled to release on September 14.
