Pataakha song Hello Hello: Malaika Arora's sultry dance number is all you need to watch today

Ever since fans learnt of Malaika Arora's dance number in Vishal Bhardwaj’s upcoming film Pataakha, they certainly couldn't keep calm. But the wait is finally over as the song, titled Hello Hello, has been released and we are simply floored by it. Hello Hello depicts Malaika, sultry in a blouse and a skirt, as she displays sweltering dance steps at a village fair to a cheerful crowd.

The song has vocals by Vishal’s wife Rekha Bhardwaj while the credit for the music goes to him. Gulzar has written the lyrics and Ganesh Acharya has choreographed Malaika for it. Don’t be surprised if Hello Hello is played at a regular frequency at discotheques and pubs because this song is all set to become the next dance-anthem.

In August, sources told a leading daily that the filmmaker intended to incorporate a “no-holds-barred song” in Pataakha and Malaika, hence, was the apt choice for it. Malaika is 45 –it’s unbelievable but true considering her energetic performance in the song as she impressed us with her effortless jhatkas and thumkas in Hello Hello. However, after seeing Malaika in iconic hits like Chaiyya Chaiyya and Munni Badnaam, Hello Hello did not level up her game.

“Malaika has the earthy sensuality needed for the song and is known to burn up the dance floor with her moves. Even though it’s a desi number, like his earlier special appearance tracks, this one too should strike a chord with everyone, and will be playing in discotheques and dandiyas soon,” the source told the daily.

Pataakha stars Sanya Malhotra, newcomer Radhika Madan, Sunil Grover, Namit Das and Vijay Raaz. It is a comedy-drama about two sisters, Badki and Chhutki, who grow up in a small village in Rajasthan and are constantly at war. But when marriage separates them, they realise they cannot seem to live with or without each other.

The film is based on an acclaimed short story by renowned writer Charan Singh Pathik. It will release on September 28.
