Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan to have joint birthday celebrations in Maldives?

Saif Ali Khan's 48th birthday celebration was an intimate affair. Only members of the family and close friends were invited to the birthday bash organized at his residence. Apart from his gorgeous looking wife Kareena Kapoor Khan, sister Soha Ali Khan with husband Kunal Kemmu and his kids, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim were seen making an appearance.

But looks like the actor is now gearing up for a belated birthday celebration. Interestingly, Saif's and Kareena's birthdays are separated by a little over a month. So to celebrate their big days, the couple along with their munchkin Taimur will have a joint birthday celebration in the Maldives next week, as reported by a leading daily.

However, Saif will have to take care of his pending projects before he jets off for the family holiday. The report further suggests that in order to switch on to play mode soon, Saif who is currently shooting for Navdeep Singh's Hunter is working extra hours to ensure that the film is wrapped up on time. Saif and family will be heading to the beach destination on September 2.

A source close to the leading daily further informed that Saif had expressed his wish to take a week-long break in September in front of Navdeep. It was then that both arrived at the decision of Saif working extra hours to complete his portions by month-end. The source added, "Over the past 10 days, Saif has been dedicating 12 to 15 hours to the shoot every day. He wants to finish the film before he leaves. Once he returns from the holiday, he can focus on Sacred Games."

Meanwhile, the joint birthday celebration will be joint by Saif's family members as well. "Saif's sister Soha, her husband Kunal and daughter Inaaya are joining them on the trip. But mom Sharmila Tagore will be skipping the do. Since Kareena's birthday is on September 21, they will celebrate the occasion beforehand," the report suggested.
