Pataakha song Balma: Watch Sanya’s and Radhika's sibling rivalry in this rustic number

Vishal Bharadwaj has already managed to create fireworks with the trailer of his upcoming film Pataakha that stars Sanya Malhotra, Radhika Madan, Vijay Raaz, Namit Das, Sunil Grover, Abhishek Duhan and Saanand Verma in the lead. The film is the screen adaptation of a short story written by Charan Singh Pathik titled Do Behnein.

Now adding to the excitement, the makers launched the first track from the film and it is titled Balma, featuring Sanya and Radhika. The song brings out the sibling rivalry between the two actresses in its fierce glory.

Sung by Rekha Bhardwaj and Sunidhi Chauhan, Balma is composed by Vishal Bhardwaj while lyrics of the song are penned by Gulzar. In the song, both the sisters Badki and Chhutki played by Radhika and Sanya can be seen trying to bring down each other by criticizing their Balmas (lovers).

The song has a rustic feel to it and we are certainly impressed by Radhika's and Sanya’s dance moves and expressions.  At some point, the song will remind you of the song Beedi Jalaile from Vishal's film Omkara.

Pataakha, as the name suggests, is a film about two women who are invincible, fearless and do not believe in any rule or regulation. They have no choice but to live with each other under one roof with their father. However, even when they try to avoid each other and get married, the fate brings them together.

Pataakha also looks like a breather from the other Bollywood films since it has got a little grungy and earthy fervour to it. Produced by Kyta Productions, B4U Motion Pictures, and Vishal Bhardwaj Films, Pataakha is slated for release on September 28.
