Trolled for promoting nepotism, Karan Johar hits back with a cutting riposte. Read his tweet

In a fell tweet, Karan Johar slammed a troll after the particular user censured the filmmaker for ‘launching star kids’ in the film industry. It all began with Karan’s clarification on the casting of Dostana 2 as he tweeted on Monday, saying that “all news circulating” about the film is “untrue”. Several quarters of the press had been reporting for a while that Dostana 2 will star Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor in the principal roles but Karan refuted reports as such with his tweet.

Trolls, however, weren’t convinced it seems as one user replied to Karan’s tweet, saying, “Karan Johar can win Gold medal in launching Start Kids.......#Dostana2 #nepotism #KaranJohar.”

Karan has been at the center of the nepotism debate in the film industry, especially after Kangana Ranaut accused him of being its “flag bearer” on his show celebrity chat show Koffee With Karan in 2017. The internet, in fact, hasn’t spared him either in this regard but Karan has managed to retaliate every single time.

As far as Dostana 2 is concerned, here’s what Karan tweeted about it:
