Manmarziyaan song F For Fyaar: Too much swag in Vicky Kaushal’s, Taapsee Pannu’s complicated pyaar ki kahaani

Didn’t you absolutely love the song in the backdrop of the trailer of Anurag Kashyap’s new film Manmarziyaan? Well, it’s called F For Fyaar and was released online by the makers on Sunday to make it even better. Set in Punjab, Manmarziyaan casts Vicky Kaushal, Taapsee Pannu and Abhishek Bachchan in the principal roles.

Manmarziyaan is based on the mushkil matters of the heart in what can be safely referred to as a complicated love story – Vicky loves Taapsee’s Rumi but is afraid of marriage while her family begins the drama surrounding it at home. Enter, Robbie, played by Abhishek. To make things worse for Rumi, she is married off to Robbie – and of course, trouble ensues further.

F For Fyaar, thus features, snippets from this love triangle – Rumi and Vicky’s romantic moments as well as their subsequent differences. It has quirky lyrics while Vicky also displays some upbeat steps at what looks like a discotheque.

F For Fyaar has vocals by Mast Ali and Vicky Kaushal himself while Sikander Kahlon is responsible for the rap. Amit Trivedi has composed it while Shellee has written the lyrics. Rap lyrics are by Sikander Kahlon.

The music of Manmarziyaan is fresh enough as Amit is against the trend of remaking and recreating old songs – instead, he believes in providing new tunes.

"I hate the remakes of old songs. I wish it ends soon. We are into the business of original music, then what is this remake? Remaking is rehashing the old songs," Amit said during an interview with a news agency.

Manmarziyaan, meanwhile, casts Abhishek Bachchan onscreen after a hiatus of two years. The film is scheduled to release on September 14.
