Director Shaad Ali himself went to the Paraplegic Rehabilitation Center in Pune and had a small chat session with them.

Talking about his experience, Shaad said-

"It's heartening to see everyone come out today like this. They share the real heroes of our country. Be it sportsperson or an officer from the armed forces. They commit themselves to the country and the flag. We've tried our best to tell the story on screen."

Talking about how it felt like watching the film with soldiers, he said-

"To be able to see with these heroes the real 'Soormas' or brave warriors of our country is an experience which goes beyond making the film. I'm just watching it like a layman right now and not even thinking about how I've made the film"

Soorma was received pretty well at the Box Office upon its release. Also starring Angad Bedi and Taapsee Pannu in important roles, the film received a thumbs up from both public and critics.
