After Ranbir Kapoor, Sushant Singh Rajput in talks for Aamir Khan's Mogul?

T-Series honcho Bhushan Kumar’s ambitious project Mogul, a biopic on his late father Gulshan Kumar, has been in the headlines ever since it was announced. While Akshay Kumar was the key contender for the lead role, he later opted out of the project owing to differences over the script. In between, Aamir  Khan came on-board to co-produce the film but refused to enact in it.

Rumours were rife that Aamir wanted either Ranbir Kapoor or Ranveer Singh to portray the music baron onscreen. Recent reports suggest that while Ranbir is yet to take a decision on the same after being convinced none other than Aamir. However, twist in the tale, as per a leading daily, the makers have also approached Sushant Singh Rajput for the project, alongside!

Now with no lead actor signed for the film, it seems the makers are in talks with some of brightest talents of today to play Gulshan Kumar. Recent reports suggested that Bhushan is keen to rope in Ranbir to essay the role of his father in the biopic and is even ready to pay a humongous amount to whichever actor gives his assent. Now as per a report in a leading daily, Ranbir is yet to take a decision on the same after being convinced none other than Aamir. Considering this, the makers have apparently also approached Sushant Singh Rajput for the project.

On the work front, the both Ranbir and Sushant have an interesting line-up. The Sanju actor is currently shooting for Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra and has Karan Malhotra’s Shamshera and Luv Ranjan’s film in the pipeline. Sushant, on the other hand, is presently filming the Hindi remake of The Fault In Our Stars. He will also feature in a web series, in which he will essay 12 real-life characters.

Interestingly, both Ranbir and Sushant have delivered epic performances earlier in biopics Sanju and MS Dhoni: The Untold Story. While we await the official confirmation as to which actor will bag the role, we wonder if Ranbir and Sushant will take up yet another biopic?

Written and directed by Subhash Kapoor, the two producers recently announced that the film will go on floors early next year and will release around Christmas 2019.
