Fanney Khan: This is why ‘Achche Din Kab Aayenge’ was changed to ‘Achche Din Ab Aaye Re’

Anil Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Rajkummar Rao, Satish Kaushik, Pihu Sand and Divya Dutta starrer Fanney Khan is up for release and the film has already generated quite a buzz amongst the audience with its heartwarming storyline and the crackling chemistry exhibited by the actors in the trailer. A few days ago, the makers of Fanney Khan had released the song Mere Achche Din Kab Aayenge that stood for the angst of Anil’s character who was grappling with the pressures of daily life and seeing his dreams crumble and not coming to fruition.

However, the song Achche Din Kab Aayenge faced a lot of controversies especially because people started taking to social media saying that the makers are targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government as their political slogan at the time of 2014 general elections was ‘Achche Din’.

Now, the makers of the film have released another version of the song which talks about the good things in life and is titled Achche Din Ab Aaye Re. The song is based on the same beat as the previous version but the video shows all the characters happy and euphoric instead of the earlier version where many a time the actors were seen in a gloomy and stressed demeanor. Reportedly, the producers of the film released the new version after they got calls from high places.

As reported by a leading daily the director Atul Manjrekar said, “We cut a new video and released it now because our song was unnecessarily taking a political colour. It didn’t strike us that this is also the slogan of the government. We didn’t expect such a reaction. Fanney Khan is a simple film about a cab driver and his dreams. I hope people see the song in the right context and not misconstrue it."

The film is all set to hit the theatres this Friday on August 3
