It's been over two months now that Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi got married in a private ceremony in a Gurudwara in Delhi. The news of their wedding came as surprising to many. In fact, to most of them, both outside and inside the industry.
Since their wedding, everytime they interact with the media, there's no way they escape a question on why such a hush-hush wedding. This time as well, the actress was asked to comment on the same while at an event.
Neha, quite expressively, said that there wasn't anything 'hush-hush' about her marriage with Angad, but it was all an 'intimate' planning. Much like the man himself, she maintained that they both were always clear they would never want an elaborate wedding.
Neha was quoted by a popular entertainment portal saying, "When I checked my phone after putting up the Instagram post announcing my marriage, I had around 600 messages that read, “What the f**k!" instead of “Congratulations”.
She also explained what Angad told her: "You’re not someone with whom I want to be in a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship. So, either we turn this into marriage or we continue being just friends.” I don’t believe it was hush-hush or secret as much as it was private. Both of us are private people. I hope we can maintain that. It’s going to be hard. But I’m going to try and protect my personal life as much as I can. By that I don’t mean dissing completely what’s in the public eye. We just wish to control the amount of information we want to let out about our private lives".
There have also been strong speculations about Neha being pregnant. However, the couple has quashed the possibility of any such news.
