Aamir’s Thugs of Hindostan has one of the most expensive outdoor shoots in Indian cinema

Thugs of Hindostan brings together Hindi cinema’s two biggest icons Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan and that makes it one of the most anticipated films of the year. The film is set for a Diwali release but not much has been revealed about the film. Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya aka Viktor, TOH has been the talk of the town for its lavish and opulent sets and extravagant mounting. The film has been produced by Yash Raj Films and the production house is ensuring that the project gets a massive canvas.

Thugs... also stars Katrina Kaif and Dangal girl Fatima Sana Shaikh in pivotal roles. According to a report published in a leading daily, Viktor has created a dream setup in Malta where the lines between fantasy and reality are blurred. The daily reported, “The director needed a pristine, unseen location and a setting where two huge ships could fit in. The ships were built by international teams that were experts in constructing such set-ups for Hollywood films.”

In one of the longest schedule for the film. the crew stayed on Malta island for 45 days and shot at various locations. Apparently,Thugs... has the most-expensive outdoor schedules in the history of Indian cinema. It was earlier reported that two massive ships have been constructed for the film weighing two lakh kilograms and the cost of the making of the ship are estimated to be in several crores.

Reportedly, it took over 1000 people including international designers and ship makers to work over 1 year to build these two ships. It will be a jaw-dropping experience for the audience to see the giant ship in action on screen.

TOH  is all set to hit the screens on November 7 this year.
