Mahesh Bhatt on Alia's success: She has astounded me, I won't mess by giving any advice

Mahesh Bhatt is indeed a proud father today. After giving so much to the Hindi film industry with his films, the director has got something special back as gift. The love and admiration his daughter --  Alia Bhatt is getting for her performances in films.

Alia has proven herself to be a tremendous actor. Her films choices have been quite different and instinctive. The actress has found a nice mix of content and commerce with her films. And that's exactly what dad Bhatt loves about the way she's carving her strategies at work.

While talking to a leading daily recently, Bhatt commented on Alia's work trajectory and talked about her stardom. He said, "I think she has astounded even me by displaying the instinctive attraction she has for odd kind of narratives. When everybody says and claims that you have to be a pretty face, I think she has done it on her own, so why would I mess it up by giving her advise on anything, more so when I myself didn’t listen to any advise from anybody in my life".

He also said that he can never tell his children what to do in which way. He said, "
There is no map or compass that you can give to your loved ones in life. You make choices and arrive to certain conclusions with time. You can only tell your children that this is what I would do in a situation like this".

The filmmaker had also mentioned his stance on the alleged romantic relationship of Alia and Ranbir Kapoor. Talking to the media a few days back, he said, "It’s very obvious that (Ranbir-Alia) are making no bones about talking to people about them being intimate. And I don’t belong to that category of parents who’d advise their children about their personal choices. Alia is an adult and it’s a matter that she has to resolve. It’s their life, their space. I respect and admire them for choosing to talk to the world when, and if, they want to do".

Well, that's how a doting father speaks for his daughter!
