Ishaan Khatter on his equation with Janhvi Kapoor: It's a lifelong friendship. Touchwood!

Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor are garnering all the love for their performance in Dhadak. The young actors are basking in the success of the film and flaunting it with those wide grins on their faces. The two also featured on the cover of a popular film magazine and looked quite stunning together, much like how they looked in the Shashank Khaitan's directorial.

While talking to the magazine, Ishaan opened up on Janhvi than he already had in all his promotional interviews for the film. He mentioned how he has found a 'lifetime friend' in Janhvi and why his work 'trajectory' is same as that of his brother, Shahid Kapoor.

Giving a rather lovely statement about his Dhadak co-star, Ishaan said, "It’s going to be a lifelong friendship. It felt like being on set with your best friend. Touchwood! There was a lovely energy on the set during the making of the film. We’ve just been honest and straight up with each other. We’ve been passionate about our work. Also, we’ve been able to share our feelings and our vulnerabilities".

He also explained the time when he used to accompany Shahid to his film sets as kid. He said, "His first film (Ishq Vishk) released in 2003. I was eight when he became a film star. I was fascinated by it all. So I’d run around with him on his sets. I was on his sets almost every day. I’d watch the actors, the cinematographers... Initially, I loved him and idolised him".

Talking about his equation with Shahid, Ishaan added, "Ours is a rare equation. He loves to play the big brother card. But at the same time, he likes to talk to me like a friend and share his experiences. Interestingly, I’m in a similar position to where he was when he was my age. We both began at the same time. We’ve had similar trajectories. So we can exchange perspectives".

Well, the boy has surely got a big future ahead... Dhadak is just the beginning!
