Bobby Deol: Had I trained in my 20s, I'd probably have had the best physique in Bollywood

Bobby Deol has got a new lease of life after the release of Race 3. The actor, who sported a chiseled body in the film and went shirtless on screen for the first time, has not given up on his exercise regime.

In a recent interview given to a leading daily, Bobby heaped praises on Salman’s personal trainer Rakesh Udiyar, who helped him build his physique for Race 3. Bobby told the leading daily, "Heading to the gym takes a lot, but once you start seeing results, you're instantly motivated. You have to start liking what you see in the mirror. I sense that people look at me differently".

Bobby said in the interview that he sorts of regret not having worked on his body earlier when he was younger. He said, “If my body reacts to training this way now, I wonder how it would have been, had I trained in my 20s. I'd probably have had the best physique in Bollywood."
He also shared details about his work-out regime and said that he strikes a balance between training and regulated diet for six days and a cheat meal and no-workout on the seventh.

However, the actor did reveal that he loves to eat chocolates and pancakes and eat those on his cheat days while he avoids sugars. Bobby said, “While I avoid sugar, I do have chocolates, sometimes. Also, I love pancakes and had almost forgotten how good they tasted. When shooting for Race 3, we were instructed to have a cheat meal every seven days. For breakfast, I'd have five pancakes, complete with honey syrup and butter."

Bobby had quite a few hit films in the 90s with Barsaat and Soldier. However, he fizzled out and met a rough patch later on. He has credited Salman for trying to resurrect his career in Bollywood.

Post, Race 3 Bobby will also be seen in Housefull 4 that also stars Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Kriti Sanon, Kriti Kharbanda and Pooja Hegde. He is also looking forward to the release of the third installment of his film franchise Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se, which also stars his brother Sunny Deol and father Dharmendra. Salman and Shatrughan Sinha will be seen in cameo roles in the film.
