No space for Priyanka Chopra at Madame Tussauds London

Deepika Padukone, who excitedly went live on Facebook to tell her fans that  Madame Tussauds of London had selected her for a waxwork, will reportedly find her statue standing not among the janta crowd from Bollywood in the famous UK museum, but alongside Lady Diana in a special area dedicated to global achievers. This is thrilling the Padmaavat actress' fan following no end because Deepika is the first Indian actor whose waxwork will be placed in this section.

Strangely enough, Deepika has just one memory of visiting a Madame Tussauds museum, and that to the one in London. She had gone as a child with her parents and like most tourists, the family bought tickets and stood in a queue to see the iconic and popular waxworks of celebrities from all over the world. And her memory is of standing next to the statue of Lady Diana because she felt the former English princess had influenced her life in some way. Now, for her waxwork to be standing alongside Lady Diana makes a grateful and excited Deepika feel like life has come a full circle.

Meanwhile, which Bollywood stars can you expect to see cast in wax at the Madame Tussauds London? There’s Hrithik Roshan, Madhuri Dixit-Nene, Katrina Kaif, Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. But something’s amiss. Why isn’t there a waxwork of Priyanka Chopra at this historic Madame Tussauds museum?

Can there be a more popular Bollywood global achiever than the Quantico actress right now? Yet, Priyanka has been ignored. Even Katrina joined the gang there as early as in 2015. And Kareena Kapoor Khan had a spot in London but was removed from there and taken to another Madame Tussauds and never brought back. But there’s no space for Priyanka Chopra it seems!
