Oops: Katrina Kaif refutes rumours of being in Salman Khan's 'Bharat'

Salman Khan broke box office records with his last outing Race 3 which was an action directorial by Remo D'souza. The multi-starrer film garnered mixed reviews from the critics and audiences. Before Salman could wrap up with Race 3, he had already begun working on his next film, Bharat. Yet another multi-starrer, Bharat will feature Priyanka Chopra, Tabu and Disha Patani in the film along with Salman.

Earlier this month, the buzz was that Katrina Kaif was in talks to join the multi-starrer in an important role. It was also said that she will not be having screentime as much as PeeCee. A leading magazine's source had said, "It’s not known how or where she (Katrina) will be found in the plot. But she is definitely a part of Bharat in a very significant way. See, Ali Abbas Zafar (director) is a very close friend of Katrina."

However, Katrina has finally spoken about the rumours and has refuted all such claims.

The Ek Tha Tiger actress told a leading daily, "I am not a part of that film. My next is Remo D’Souza’s film with Varun Dhawan, which I am going to start work on after wrapping up Aanand L Rai’s film, Zero. There is still a little bit of work left to complete that film. I should start work on the dance film by the last quarter of the year."

Well, that surely comes as a disappointment for the Kat-Kaif fans. Yet, we are eagerly waiting to watch her with Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma in Aanand L Rai's Zero. Today, Katrina celebrates his 35th birthday in New York with her family.

Salman's Bharat is being directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and is the official remake of South Korean film Ode To My Father. The film revolves around a man who is separated from his family during the war and his journey of reuniting with them. Bharat is slated to release on Eid 2019 and is produced by Salman's brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri.
