Uncle Cool: Ranbir's text-buddy niece doesn't call him 'Mamu'

Ranbir Kapoor loves being around children and is admittedly close to the kids in his family, be it his sibling Riddhima Kapoor Sahni's daughter, Samara or Kareena Kapoor Khan's son, Taimur. Though in many of his interviews he has confessed that he shares a close bond with Samara.

Samara, who calls her uncle Ranbir by his name rather than addressing his as mamu, stays in constant touch with him. Since she lives in Delhi and RK is busy travelling, the two keep in touch with each other through regular texts. Well, that's the way ahead for millennials. And uncle Ranbir is surely not missing out on anything.

The seven-year-old Samara is already a known name in the tinsel town; credits to her Nani Neetu Kapoor who takes pride in showing off her granddaughter's talent on social media. The veteran actress had admitted that Samara is already bitten by the acting bug that runs high in the Kapoor family. The young talent, too, takes full pride in flaunting her closeness to 'Uncle Ranbir' aka Ranbir, the way she fondly calls him.

While he is close to Samara, Ranbir also loves watching Taimur's pictures splattered across the internet and newspaper pages. “To be honest, I stalk his pictures because I am also obsessed. Because when you see him it just warms your heart. And when he has his haircut or how he walks… I am a Taimur fan. I have had the opportunity and the good fortune to hold him and it felt quite surreal. It felt like holding royalty.” he declared.

Though the actor maintained, “I love to see pictures of Taimur splashed across newspapers. People read everything that’s said about him with a lot of interest. But I am not too pleased about it. It is not healthy for a child to be noticed so much.” In fact, Kareena, too, isn't very fond of the paparazzi following her little tot every second of the day.

We're eagerly waiting for uncle Ranbir to share more insights and anecdotes to share about his niece and nephews.
