Rajinikanth's-Akshay's 2.0 will clash at the box office with Sushant's-Sara's Kedarnath

Superstar Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson’s 2.0 has finally got a release date after many delays. Last evening, director Shankar took to Twitter and confirmed the release date as November 29 for the anticipated film. However, there is a clash that will happen at the box office because Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan’s Kedarnath is releasing on November 30. The films directed by Abhishek Kapoor and Shankar will compete against each other at the box office that weekend.

This is not the first time that two big films are releasing on the same date. Previously, also big banner films have released together and minted moolah at the box office. However, this time around, we feel that 2.0 will have an upper edge in getting more screen space and affect the prospects of Kedarnath.

2.0 will get a bigger billing as it has more superstars associated with it and we feel that the audience might choose it over Kedarnath. Kedarnath also has its own audience and Sushant is a popular young actor but it will be tough for him to compete with the combined force of Rajinikanth and Akshay. That is why we feel no film can actually compete with 2.0 and emerge victorious at the box office battle.

Hence, the best possible course would be for Kedarnath’s director Abhishek to either bring forward the release date or postpone it. Looks like the trouble for Kedarnath is far from over and once again Abhishek will have to find a solution to this pressing problem because we’re sure he would not like to lose money at the box office.

2.0 is the sequel to Tamil hit Enthiran (Robot) that also starred Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The film is produced by Lyca Productions. On the other hand, Kedarnath is based on the deadly floods that happened in the holy town of Kedarnath. The film is produced by RSVP Movies and Guy in the Sky Pictures.
