Actor Sumeet Vyas got a golden opportunity when he starred opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan in Veere Di Wedding. The film on female bonding directed by Shashanka Ghosh and produced by Rhea Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor featured Sonam Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania became a huge hit at the box office and made Sumeet the new catch in Bollywood. Sumeet came as a surprise package in the film Veere Di Wedding and accumulated applause for his performance in the female-dominated film. As reported by a leading daily, Sumeet will star with actor Kangana Ranaut in Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari’s yet-untitled film on Kabaddi.
The film is a sports drama that sees Kangana essays the role of a Kabaddi player. Kangana is supposed to undergo a 150-day workshop in August for her prep for the role. The film is supposed to kick-start in October. Kangana is said to start practicing yoga to learn to hold her breath for the role. Ashwiny is also trying to rope in a national level Kabaddi player to teach the actress the nuances of the game.

The leading daily reported that Sumeet has had two meetings with the makers of the film but is yet to sign the contract for the film. Apparently, Sumeet is a Kangana fan and the actress too has appreciated his work in the past. The 34-year-old actor is keen to come onboard the film. If Sumeet agrees to be a part of the film then it will provide a huge impetus to his Bollywood career.
On the other hand, Sumeet has another upcoming flick; an ensemble horror-comedy titled Aapkey Kamrey Mein Koi Rehta Hai. The film is directed by Gaurav S Sinha and is expected to hit the theatres soon. The film also features Sumeet’s Tripling co-star Amol Parashar in the lead.
