Love note: Anushka is grateful for the warmth from Katrina, Shah Rukh and Aanand

Zero director Aanand L Rai and his cast comprising Shah Rukh, Katrina and Anushka Sharma have expectedly grown close through their journey of filming. Telling a story that “celebrates the incompleteness in people” has been a stirring experience and we see it in Anushka’s touching note on the completion of shooting.

Zero will have Shah Rukh playing a dwarf, a big little man, who falls in love with a superstar, played by Katrina. Anushka allegedly plays the role of a failed scientist in Zero, who tries to come to terms with her circumstances.

With the shooting schedule complete Anushka has penned a touching missive to team Zero. She praised the team for believing in her and sends ‘big hugs’ to Aanand, Shah Rukh and Katrina for their warmth towards her on the sets.

She writes, “Zero is all heart. Zero is these two wonderful people & everything they’ve endeavoured to create. Zero is me going on this journey with them. What a pleasure it’s been.Big hug @aanandlrai & @iamsrk for your belief & to #KatrinaKaif for being the amaze one that she is! #ZeroWrap.”

This highly-anticipated project, wherein Shah Rukh Khan plays a vertically challenged person, wrapped up its shoot schedule with a final 45 day-long stretch in the USA. The US schedule also included NASA as one of its locations. Anushka Sharma, who plays a struggling scientist, had joined the crew along with R Madhavan.

The makers had dropped the teaser and first look on 1 January, which left audiences gaping at Shah Rukh’s transformation into a three feet tall little person, courtesy heavy VFX. The pre-Eid teaser of the film won more hearts as it featured Shah Rukh and Salman Khan, in a special appearance, burning up the dance floor.

Incidentally, Zero is Anushka’s second film with both Shah Rukh and Katrina. She had worked with them previously in Yash Chopra’s last film, Jab Tak Hai Jaan.
