Shweta was dressed in a lovely and bright yellow mid length dress for the mehendi ceremony. Shweta’s mehendi is not some ordinary design but has a story to tell. Shweta opted for the regular henna patterns customized with her own quirky love story with Chaitanya. The wedding will take place on June 29, 2018, in Goa.

The theme of the mehndi ceremony was ‘love story’ and hence Shweta’s mehendi depicted the couple’s journey right from when they met to the proposal. On her right hand, Shweta had a rollercoaster, as that was where Chaitanya had asked her out.

On her left hand, there is an aeroplane to depict how they had met on their way back to Mumbai. The plane bore their wedding date. The theatre masks that are popular icons that depict theatre can also be seen on Shweta’s hands and depicts the couple’s common love for the stage and acting.

Shweta also explained some of the other features of her rather unique mehendi. She said, “There are elements from our wedding invite too. There’s a crab, as I am Cancerian, there’s a football as it’s his first love, apparently. Then there’s an umbrella, champagne glasses, sunglasses a starfish and bride and groom figurines. I love lotuses, birds and fish, so they are also in my Mehendi in abundance, all over!”

On the work front, Shweta will be next seen in a web series called Mirzapur and a film titled Cargo. On the other hand, Chaitanya will be seen sharing screen space with Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy.
