Actor Hiten Tejwani, who has had a successful stint on Hindi television, is the newest entrant in Dharma Productions' Kalank. The big period drama, directed by Abhishek Varman, is on roll with many popular faces already leading the cast. While Alia Bhatt, Madhuri Dixit and Varun Dhawan have been shooting for the film for over a month now, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sanjay Dutt joined the sets lately.
Hiten, who was last seen in Salman Khan-hosted Bigg Boss 11, is playing an employee of the company headed by Sanjay Dutt's character. A leading daily reported the same by quoting a source. "Hiten’s character Ahmed shares screen space with Sanjay, Aditya and Alia. He is a trusted employee in a company owned by Sanjay’s character where he also interacts with Aditya and Alia. His portions are expected to wrap up by December", revealed the source to the daily.

The actor had worked in films like Love Games (2016), Shorgul (2016) and Saansein (2016) among others but Kalank is reportedly going to have him in a substantial character.
The actor rose to fame on TV after playing Pratham in popular show, Kutumb, in which he was paired opposite Gauri Pradhan, who is his wife now. He then went to star in successful shows like Kyukii Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kabhii Sautan Kabhii Sahelii, Kaahin Kissii Roz, Kkusum, Kasautii Zindagii Kay and Pavitra Rishta among many others.
He also has a project with filmmaker Ekta Kapoor.
