Ranbir Kapoor is a 'formidable force of nature', confesses his ‘Sanju’ co-star Dia Mirza

Dia Mirza who plays  Maanayata Dutt in the Sanjay Dutt biopic Sanju spoke at length about her role and the overwhelming gratitude she feels for director Rajkumar Hirani for giving her the opportunity to play such a pivotal role in a riveting film. She also spoke about her co-star actor Ranbir Kapoor who essays the role of Sanjay Dutt in the film and heaped praise on him for his terrific performance.

In a candid talk, Dia was asked about her impression of Ranbir and how was the experience working with him. She said, “Ranbir is a formidable force of nature. He is such an incredibly talented actor, but the best thing is his temperament. I am yet to meet a more grounded, normal, simple person on a film set. He would be in prosthetics for five hours and come out in scorching heat which must have been physically irritable and yet he was never in a bad mood or angry. He would always be in a Zen mode as if he was meditating. My husband (Sahil Sangha) is like that. Ranbir would be in his calm and composed Zen mode and yet he is the most alive actor in a scene. Even if you surprise him in a scene his response will be instantaneous, he is that alert. He is amazing as an actor.”

Dia reiterated the fact what Paresh Rawal had said earlier about Ranbir Kapoor. The veteran actor had said, “Ranbir is not moody but keeps to himself, he is a casual guy. I am a big fan of his right from his Rocket Singh days because unlike other star kids he does character roles and does not limit himself to a handful of song and dance. In a film like Raajneeti where there were bigger actors cast with him, he still held his own and stood out.”
