Dhadak: Janhvi Kapoor's and Ishaan Khatter's 'Zingat' is as good as the original from Sairat

The Zingat track from Nagraj Manjule directed Marathi film Sairat became a huge rage among the audience for its peppy beats, colourful lyrics, and high energy when it released in 2016. The song has been rehashed for the official Hindi remake of the film starring Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter Dhadak. The original song which is the go-to dance song at any mad caper party was composed by Ajay-Atul and they have recomposed their original version once again for the Karan Johar production.

Karan, who is producing the film, unveiled a few glimpses of the latest version of the track at the film’s trailer launch today. The track Zingat is both offbeat and commercial at the same time. Not known to many, when Karan saw the video, he instantly wanted to show a few parts of it at the trailer launch as it encapsulates the flavour of Dhadak. Not to wait and applaud, Janhvi and Ishaan look smashing in it, showing off their dancing skills.

The Hindi version has been choreographed by Farah and is similar to the original with the boys and girls dancing separately. However, Ishaan has been given cool moves in the song which shows his exemplary dancing style which was not present in the Marathi version. Janhvi too impresses with her steps in the song.

The original Marathi version became hugely popular and is played at almost every party where the people want to let their hair down and dance the night away. The Hindi version seems true to the original version and is peppy, although not much of the lyrics can be heard in the trailer from the song, we’re sure they must have done justice to the rhythmic beats of Ajay-Atul. Although the song forms the background score of the trailer, the full song will be available to the audience for viewing in a couple of days.
