Love is in the Air: Ranbir Kapoor pulled of a classic to ask Alia Bhatt out

Since the time Ranbir Kapoor has come out clean about his relationship with Alia Bhatt, the media and fans are in a frenzy. While everyone celebrates this romance, rumours have it Ranbir pulled off a classic NYE proposal to ask Alia Bhatt out, while they were in Bulgaria.

Reportedly, Ranbir asked Alia out on New Year’s Eve last year in Bulgaria. The duo had accompanied director Ayan Mukerji for a recce to Bulgaria and that’s where all the magic happened. Isn't that romantic?!

The rumours starting churning when the two of them were caught cozying up to each other during Putlu's 50th birthday bash. Following the stint, the two posed together during Sonam Kapoor's reception and Bollywood buffs went into a frenzy.

To put everything at rest, Ranbir finally broke his silence and told GQ Magazine in an interview that they are actually dating. He said, "It’s really new right now, and I don’t want to overspeak. It needs time to breathe and it needs space. As an actor, as a person, Alia is – what’s the right word? – flowing right now. When I see her work, when I see her act, even in life, what she gives is something that I’m aspiring to for myself. It’s new for us, so let it cook a bit.”

Well, looks like Ranbir's mom, Neetu Singh has also approved of this relationship as she paid Alia a visit for her birthday celebrations in Bulgaria and also has been super supportive of them and their relationship since then.

Well, good thing that Mama Kapoor approves, aye?

Ranbir who was in a live-in relationship with his ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif will not be able to take a similar step with Alia as she has firmly denied any speculations on this move. Talking about marriage, she said, “Listen, I love you, so let’s get married and live together but I will still work.’ So, I may get married just to live with that person. It’s also because I don’t want to be in a live-in relationship. I don’t want to live with someone until I get married. So, it may happen for that reason.”

Alia and Ranbir will be sharing screen space for the first time in Ayan Mukerji’s  Brahmastra which also stars megastar Amitabh Bachchan.
