Sanjay Dutt to adopt mother Nargis' hometown Chilbila in UP, meets Yogi Adityanath

If there is one thing Sanjay Dutt holds dear to his heart till this day, it is memories with his mother and actress Nargis. On many occasions, the actor has shared his love for her on social media, especially during her birth anniversary.

Sanjay who is currently filming for his next which is a remake of the Prasthanam, a South blockbuster; recently visited Uttar Pradesh's CM, Yogi Adityanath. The meet which is a part of the Sampark for Samarthan campaign lasted for about 30 minutes during which Sanjay Dutt expressed his desire to adopt a village on the Jaupaur road: Chilbila. It is the same village where Sanjay's mother Nargis grew up and spent most of her childhood. The actor shared that under his mother's organization Nargis Dutt Foundation, he would adopt the village and undertake its development.

The actor also shared how his mother Nargis would often talk about her hometown but could never visit due to work and ill-health.

Always be humble and always respect the elders. That is the thing that is going to take you far. And that is going to give you strength in your work…"

Sanjay heard his mother’s voice and realised how much she loved him and cared about him.   “I burst out crying and I cried and cried… I cried continuously for four days . . . I think till then I hadn’t grieved for her when she passed away. So her voice and those tapes changed everything in my life,” the book quotes Sanjay as saying.

Accompanying the actor was Wave Cinema's CEO Rahul Mittra. The trio further, as a part of the ‘contact for support programme’, also discussed achievements of the Modi Government in the past four years and were handed a booklet which listed the same.

The ‘Sampark for Samarthan’ campaign envisions 4,000 BJP functionaries, including chief ministers, union ministers and panchayat leaders from all over the country contacting one lakh people who have made achievements in their fields to tell them about the government’s achievements.
