The fourth film in the famous Krrish franchise is on the cards. Director Rakesh Roshan has already announced the same. There's a new update in the news now. Seems like Senior Roshan's fondness with actress Priyanka Chopra has forced him to have her on board for Krrish 4 as well. He just seemed to have confirmed the same lately.
In Bharathi S Pradhan's book, Priyanka Chopra: The Dark Horse, Rakesh Roshan has talked about how he happened to be casting Priyanka in Krrish, and that even Krrish 4 will have a role for her. However, he mentioned that the length of the role is something he can't shelve more details on.
The movie is scheduled to release during Christmas 2020 and has Hrithik Roshan reviving his larger-than-life avatar of a superhero.
Priyanka, who has been away from Bollywood for almost two years now, will be seen in Bharat, with Salman Khan. She might have done some popular work in the West -- Quantico, Baywatch, A Kid Like Jake among others, but back home, her last memorable on-screen outing still remains Bajirao Mastani. Filmmaker Prakash Jha's Jai Gangaajal, featuring Priyanka as a cop, released post the SLB directorial and fell flat at the Box Office.
The Krrish series gave a real boost to Priyanka's film career. Her performance in both the films in the franchise were applauded. It will now be interesting to see what Mr Roshan has in mind for an actress who has achieved an undeniable global stardom now.
