Karan Johar’s ambitious project Kalank is a period drama film directed by Abhishek Varman has a fabulous ensemble cast. The film stars Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapur, Kunal Kemmu and Sonakshi Sinha. The news related to the film is making all of us excited for the film’s release. Varun, Madhuri and Alia had already started shooting for the film. Today, Aditya commenced shooting for the film. He has started rehearsing for a special dance number with Varun. However, there is a surprise in the song and Karan revealed that Kriti Sanon will do a special appearance in the song.
Varun shared a video on his Twitter page about the rehearsals of the song. Karan can be seen in the video and he presents a sweet surprise in the form of Kriti who will also feature in the song that has Varun and Aditya in it. Varun had also shot a special song for the film in which Kiara Advani will make a social appearance.

A source close to the film’s development told a leading daily that the song will have Kriti, Varun and Aditya having fun. The song will be shot in the next three days and a huge set has been erected in Mumbai for the shoot. Ace designer Manish Malhotra has styled Kriti’s look for the song which will be a major part of Kalank.
This is the first time Aditya and Kriti will be sharing screen space. Varun and Kriti have worked together in Rohit Shetty’s Dilwale (2015) that also had Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. Varun has a jam-packed schedule and beside Kalank he will be seen Sui Dhaaga – Made in India opposite Anushka Sharma. He also became an uncle today as his elder brother Rohit Dhawan and sister-in-law Jaanvi became proud parents to a baby girl.
Kriti will be seen with Diljit Dosanjh in Arjun Patiala and will also be playing the lead role opposite Akshay Kumar in Housefull 4. Aditya, on the other hand, has been challenged by Ranveer Singh for the fitness challenge started by Union Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore.
