It is the season of starry weddings! Earlier this month, actress Sonam Kapoor tied the knot with long-time businessman beau, Anand Ahuja in a traditional Anand Karaj ceremony. It was preceded by two days of mehendi and sangeet revelry. The marriage ceremony was followed by a grand reception party with close family, friends and Bollywood's glitteratis in attendance. Their wedding took place as per Sikh rituals in the afternoon at the bride's maternal aunt's residence in Bandra.
Soon after tying the knot, Sonam was back to work commitments as she was due to walk the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival on May 14 and May 15 out of her promotional duties for the cosmetic brand she endorses. The international outing was followed by an extremely busy schedule for the promotions of her upcoming film, Veere Di Wedding.
Sonam, along with her Veeres -- Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania, has been running on a choc-a-block schedule which eventually delayed her honeymoon with hubby Anand.
Nonetheless, rumours continued to spur that Sonam and Anand will head to Greece for some quality time. Brushing aside all these reports, Sonam, in an interview with a leading tabloid, has confirmed now that the newlyweds are not headed to Greece. “We will go on our honeymoon by October-end or November. We want to go someplace warm but haven’t finalised the destination yet,” she told the daily.
Sonam's slate of work seems full and a hectic routine awaits her after the release od VDW. The report further states that the Khoobsurat actress has 15 days of work pending on Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, in which she shares the screen space with father, Anil Kapoor for the first time. August onwards, she has a start to finish three months shoot schedule for The Zoya Factor, co-starring Dulquer Salmaan. “I really have a lot of work coming up. The Zoya Factor will be filmed for three months straight, from August to October,” Sonam informed the publication.
Guess it's all work and no play for Sonam as of yet!
