Actress, VJ and singer Sophie Choudry who is always impeccably dressed and super stylish at any red carpet appearance spends about majority of the year travelling across the globe for her gigs. Sophie, was born in a business family and graduated from the London School of Economics but chose wanted to pursue her Bollywood dream. She made a mark in Bollywood with hit singles like with Ek Pardesi and Mera babu chail chabeela and others without a godfather in the industry. With her style, sultry voice and dance moves she was touted as the pop Diva in 2003.
Sophie, recently launched a detox tea line and shared on her micro-blogging site her ordeal when she first moved to Mumbai and was asked to shed some kilos as she was not skinny and thin enough. Sophie’s statement will be an eye-opener for all those people who have been trying to lose weight the wrong way. Her statement also gives guidance to those who do not respect their bodies and go to extreme lengths to mimic their favourite actors and actresses by employing crash diets and unhealthy diets.

She shared a very positive message on Instagram that read, “When life gives you curves...flaunt em When I moved from London to Mumbai, I was always made to feel curvy, voluptuous, not skinny like many others. Didn’t know how to handle the fact that my body type was different until I realised that is what is special about me.. the fact that I’m curvy but fit.. a body type many strive for! It’s something I work at not for others but for myself because irrespective of your body type, fitness and health should come first! And whatever shape or size you are, you can be fit.”
Sophie made her Bollywood acting debut in Pyaar Ke Side Effects opposite Rahul Bose and Mallika Sherawat and now rubs shoulders with the A-listers of the industry. In a few interviews Sophie had shared about her unpleasant experiences with directors and producers who offered her work with obvious requests. However, Sophie has ensured that she has a no-nonsense girl reputation and doesn’t mince her words to express her opinions and shut down trolls like a boss.
