USA Calling: Shah Rukh, Anushka to shoot at NASA in marathon 'Zero' schedule

The shooting of Aanand L Rai’s Zero is in its final lap. The film’s final schedule is currently underway in the United States of America. It will be a mammoth 45-day schedule for the team of Zero, which is pegged to bring in a whole new level of VFX. Filming will also take place at NASA. Incidentally, this will be leading man Shah Rukh’s second time at NASA – he had also shot at the world-renowned international space station for Swades. Besides leading lady Anushka Sharma, R Madhavan will also be part of the US shooting schedule. In fact, Madhavan will be part of the scenes that will shot at NASA.

Shah Rukh will appear in a never-seen-before role of a vertically challenged person in the film, while Katrina Kaif is believed to be playing an actress. Anushka Sharma will reportedly be playing the role of a scientist.

Speaking about why he chose to experiment with Shah Rukh Khan's romantic hero image, director Aanand had said, “With experience, I have realized that audience is growing every year to accept more experimental cinema. There is a synergy between audience and filmmakers. As a film director, I cannot say there is no audience for a certain genre of the story because a different group of audience is receptive towards a variety of stories. Now we have an audience to support a film like Baahubali and a content-heavy film like Newton in the same year.”

The teaser of the film had generated considerable buzz. It had Aanand saying he would ensure the film delivered more than what it promises. “I am getting really good feedback but this time, I am trying to give the audience things, which are coming from my heart and with Shah Rukh sir, I think, I am being able to achieve that. The kind of fun we all are having while making this film is what I always look for... I still require two months for the completion of the shoot, but I will ensure that the film delivers more than what it is promising,” he vouched.

We get the feeling he will!
