Veere Di Wedding’s trailer and its chartbuster songs have managed to pique every cinema lover’s interest. The movie, with its feisty show of fraternity, has brought naughty grins to all those who witnessed the sneak peeks so far. Starring Sonam Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania, the film is replete with cuss words and other unmentionables that are rarely if ever seen in a mainstream Hindi film centring around four women. At the same time, the 'not a chick flick' ticks off all the boxes of much in vogue notions of feminism. But while the movie is packed tightly with no holes for jealousy or malice to find a way, the Veeres are pretty much thick as thieves off-screen too.

At the music launch of the movie, producer Rhea Kapoor revealed that they (Sonam, Kareena, Karisma Kapoor) share a WhatsApp group which is called 'Huge Mess.' Now, the name is quite contrary to what Sonam had revealed in a conversation with a leading tabloid recently.

For those who came in late, the WhatsApp group was brought in the conversation after a certain piece suggested of an apparent rivalry between Sonam and Kareena. And after both Sonam and Rhea attempted to quash these speculations, the rumours only grew stronger.

Brushing aside speculations of any cold vibes, Sonam earlier told a tabloid, “There’s no rivalry between us. In fact, Bebo [Kareena], me, Rhea [Kapoor] and Lolo [Karisma Kapoor] have a WhatsApp group, called The Kapoor Girls. We post each other’s yesteryear pictures on it. Bebo and I have been friends for 15 years.” She also points out that such gossip doesn’t bother them because they are in a secure space. “Bebo and I are the third generation of actors [in our families] and we know how the media functions. We are great friends. We have made a kick-ass movie and proved that women can work with each other and get along. We had a blast.”

If Sonam is to be believed, Kareena is, in fact, her 'favourite hero' to work with. Looks like these assumptions are only a piece of somebody's imagination.
Veere Di Wedding is slated to release on June 1, 2018. Directed by Shashank Ghosh, besides Rhea, Ekta Kapoor and Nikhil Dwivedi are bankrolling the project. The movie shall clash with Rhea and Sonam's brother and actor Harshvardhan Kapoor's second outing Bhavesh Joshi.
