Now, with Sonam Kapoor making her debut on the Cannes red carpet as Mrs. Ahuja, we wonder if history is about to repeat itself?
Sonam Kapoor shared a series of Instagram stories where the two were en route to the French Riviera. Goofing up on the plane whilst the flight steward shared safety details, the two looked quite excited for the what is to ensue. With their honeymoon delayed courtsey Sonam's professional commitments, we hope to see yet another lovey-dovey moment between the two newlyweds.

Earlier a source close to the couple had said, “Cannes was a commitment made well in advance. And she (Sonam) couldn’t wriggle out of it. The only solution was for Anand to accompany her for an impromptu honeymoon.” Though a final decision on this flash-honeymoon will be taken later, it is learnt that Anand has given his consent to accompany his wife to Cannes from where the newly-married couple may head to another part of France for a brief vacation.
Like every year, Sonam will walk the red carpet on May 14. She will be joined by her cousins Janhvi and Khushi along with uncle Boney Kapoor who will also fly to the Croisette where the late actress Sridevi will be honoured for her contribution to the Indian cinema at Titan Reginald F. Lewis Film Honours.
Sonam will be representing the Indian L'Oreal brand ambassadors at the Cannes Film Festival. Upon her return, she will launch straight into the promotions of her upcoming film, Veere Di Wedding. The film, which is being co-produced by her sister Rhea Kapoor, will hit the theatres on June 1.
After that, Sonam will resume shooting for Shelly Dhar's Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, which will be the first time the actress will share screen space with her father Anil Kapoor.
