Yesterday we informed you that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be making her Instagram debut today, a day prior to when she walks the red carpet at Cannes Film Festival 2018. Since then, her fans have been abuzz seeking what the actress is going to post. Aishwarya made her Instagram debut today and her handle is ‘@aishwaryaraibachchan_arb’. Her representatives revealed the actress’s handle on their Twitter and Instagram page, although there are no posts as yet.

This is because Aishwarya was seen leaving for the Cannes film festival late Thursday night with daughter Aaradhya and would be still in her flight. Since she is walking the red carpet tomorrow, the first glimpse of her would be shared on her Instagram account. This will be the actress’s 17th appearance at the Film Festival.
Aishwarya's bio on her Instagram account reads, “Miles to go before I sleep,” which is an apt quote for the actress who has achieved many milestones in her life. Speculations are rife that the first post on her account will be her first pictures from Cannes tomorrow but then knowing her it could be something totally different. Aishwarya, for ages, stayed away from social media and did not have an account on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. Her husband Abhishek Bachchan and father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan are very active on social media. She is considered to be very private about her personal life and hence stayed away from the medium.
Aishwarya had previously said about social media, “I think you should use it for its strength and not get drowned in it for its capacity to isolate as well as and make you just an individual and cease to be a people’s person.” A source said, “Ash’s closest buddies from the industry, which include Karan Johar, Manish Malhotra and others, have been telling her to join social media. Even her team persuaded her a lot. Before her 17th Cannes appearance, the L’Oréal team also discussed this with her. Finally, she decided to go ahead.”
Although there are no posts yet on her Instagram, Aishwarya has already amassed 13.4k followers. Besides walking the red carpet at Cannes, Aishwarya will be returning to screens with Fanne Khan starring Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao alongside her.
