Sonam Kapoor is now 'Sonam Kapoor-Ahuja'; changes Instagram handle, sister Rhea too confirms

Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja have finally tied the knot in a beautiful yet simple Anand Karaj ceremony which was performed at the actress’s aunt’s bungalow Rockdale in Bandra, Mumbai. The news was first confirmed by Sonam’s younger sister Rhea who took to her Instagram to share the first photo of her sister and tagged the actress as “Sonam Kapoor-Ahuja”, thus confirming the actress' name change post marriage. The picture is emotional and the caption that Rhea used will remind you of the love shown in the Disney's animated film Frozen where unlike the traditional love stories a sister’s love thaws out the ice and snow.

But Sonam made things official on her own Instagram as well as she changed her username on Instagram!

Sonam was dressed in bridal red and gold and looked breathtakingly beautiful in the Anuradha Vakil lehenga which had god lotus motifs and a thick golden border. The actress wore jadau neckpiece with layering jewelry, a big and ornate maang tika, long dangler earrings, traditional red Punjabi chooda and kaleerein on her wrists. The groom Anand wore a Nehru collar muted dark beige sherwani, with a cream safa and a pearl and stone neckpiece.

Coming back to Rhea’s picture, it shows the actress smiling away in her happiness whereas the former is standing behind her with an expression of devoted affection. The picture tells a thousand words and will make every woman who has a sister yearn for the old warm hug and probably make them grab a box of tissues as well. Rhea is bedecked in a bright pink and blue lehenga and is looking as fresh as a daisy. Rhea’s caption reads as, “Forever and ever. Sister love is the truest love I know. Me and Sonam Kapoor-Ahuja." Does she not remind you of the love between Anna and Elsa from the film Frozen?
