Beauty, films, empowerment: That’s what Aishwarya and Helen Mirren will chat about on their Cannes talk show

For those who feel we see enough but hear too little of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan at Cannes, here’s good news… Apparently the actress, as co-ambassador of the brand L’Oréal Paris, will be sharing her views on women empowerment on a talk show. She will be joined by renowned Hollywood star Helen Mirren.

The aim of the 30-minute chat show at Cannes is to promote women empowerment in cinema. It will be held on May 12, and is to be hosted by the French actor Ophelie Meunier. Even better, this prestigious show full of dynamic women, will be open to the public from May 8 to 14 every night.

Named 'Worth It', after the tagline of the cosmetics giant L’Oreal, the show will also feature other famous faces of the brand. Deepika Padukone, Jane Fonda, Julianne Moore, French actress-singer Isabelle Adjani, Leila Bekhti and Aja Naomi King will also share their views on the topics of beauty, films and inspirational women. Besides the brand's ambassadors, the show will also feature popular makeup artists.

Buzz goes that Deepika’s live rendezvous is scheduled for May 10. Aishwarya and Helen Mirren will come together on May 12. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is considered one of the most established faces internationally and hence it was decided that she would share the stage with an artist as strong and reputed as Mirren.

In March this year, Aishwarya had opened up about the MeToo campaign that made waves globally after sexual harassment news broke out in Hollywood. “It has brought out a lot of conversation and sharing. The good thing is that people are talking. I don’t think this needs to restrict itself to one part of the world. But this idea does not limit itself to show business or the film industry. It is people discussing it from all walks of life,” she had pointed out.
It will be interesting to hear her views at Cannes 2018.
